Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor, director producer and vocalist. Lucy Liu is an extremely intelligent and appealing actress. Many Asian actors dreamed of becoming famous in Hollywood. Following a string of appearances on popular television series her name was a household name when she was cast in her role in the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. The fame gained by her was translated to roles on the big screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other movies. The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance as Japanese crime boss O-Ren Ishii. Around the same time she was also in leading roles in several film that did not make the top of the charts, like Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice characters from animated movies like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Small screen roles such as Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia have not produced positive results. The role she played in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland helped re-establish herself as an actress of note. Liu is very careful in selecting her roles in order that she does not become the victim of a hugely competition-driven industry. Although she's embraced her roots she has not allowed it to limit her artistic abilities.
