Kelly Clarkson, an American actor, singer and songwriter who took home the American Idol competition in its initial season. She was America's Sweetheart. The win not only catapulted her to stardom however, it also secured the singer a multi-album contract in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. In the years since her debut, she released numerous albums. From those, three were ranked first on the US Billboard 200. The other albums came near the top. Her name is regarded as one of the greatest success American Idol artists. She experimented as she gained recognition for her different musical themes and styles, often writing her own songs. She earned critical acclaim and several high-profile awards for her uniqueness as well as her singing talent. Most notably she has won the Grammy Award three times.
