Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28, 1967) was an American performer and actress. She began her acting career when she was a teenager. She is best known for playing Maggie Beckett on the TV show Sliders and also as her character, Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror-comedy movie Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was raised in Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble who was employed as a cashier, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer. There are three sisters and brothers. The singer was in her teens who performed in clubs, sneaking away from her family for the sake of performing. The actress studied acting since the age of 13 at the Wooster School, then studied drama at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts alongside renowned instructor Uta Hagen.Kari Samantha Wuhrer was an American actor, model and singer. Her birthplace was in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th of April, she was raised there. Her father is both a German American policeman as well as a salesperson for autos. Kari has three siblings. As a teenager performing in nightclubs, she was able to make a name for herself by slipping away to do so. In the year she turned 13 young, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School. Later, she enrolled in drama studies at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College; plus, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with renowned teacher Uta Hagen. Kari began her journey into acting at the age of 13 and got her first big break in 1987 on MTV Remote Control.
